Battles of 1940 in France have revealed track machine with an antiaircraft gun, but during military actions there was no time for its development. As base have chosen the chassis of light tank Pz-1A. Wehrmacht priority there was a development of main battle tanks and a plenty of out-of-date chassis well came for the future antiaircraft machines.

The chassis for alteration has given 1 company of 610 transport battalions (Munitiontransportabteilung 610). For armament gun Flak38 was used automatic antiaircraft 20mm.

Base of Pz-1A appeared in many respects unsuccessful for the future alteration - now the small tank should contain crew 5-8 person (instead of 2), the engine was weak for new loading, caterpillars (tracks) frequently flied. And though tank Pz-1B was the best variant, designers have stopped on early updating.

For displacement of the centre of gravity the frontal armor has been displaced forward on 200mm, for increase în the area the platform has received folding shutters from steel. The gun has been displaced concerning an axis of the tank to the right to provide the best access to the driver and could be demounted by forces of crew.

Ammunition and personal things of crew were transported în special trailer Sd. Ah.51 for what the tank has received the new towing device. The radio equipment has been demounted.

The tank has been made by a small series în quantity 24 pieces and has acted on arms 614 motorized an antiaircraft battalion (Fla. Batalion 614). În the end of August 1941 by rail the battalion has proceeded throwout Berlin, Dresden, Budapest, Prague în area of Jassy. Therefrom 600km tanks were directed by a march on southern sector of East front.

If against the air purposes the tank has recommended itself successfully against ground it became rather problematic. În this case support of infantry was necessary for tanks, and tanks and their unprotected crews were easily amazed with the Soviet infantry. The most dangerous opponent were antitank rifles teams.

Tanks of this type were applied în fights near Kharkov, and after 614 antiaircraft battalion participated în summer approach în structure of 6 armies. În the winter of 1943 the battalion completely was lost under Stalingrad.

This fact inspired me on an idea to use model of the tank în diorama. Stalingrad battle became a turning-point of the Second world war, and an environment and route 6th to army its apogee and logic crash of Hitler's idea about conquest of Russia. Therefore it wanted to me to make a diorama - symbol where language of allegory to show a result of east campaign. For this purpose it was necessary to resort to the certain reception of "surrealism", to combine în one place two times. For a role of "Shadows" I have taken 6 excellent figures from TANK. Very the responsible moment selection of color - it should be unostentatious, easy, but at the same time bear în myself the certain emotional and semantic charge. I have stopped on light a gray-blue cold color.

The figure from the well-known staff of a documental footage has been specially made for this diorama, now is accessible as MIG-productions. It is enough one sight at this figure, that the association "Stalingrad, an environment, crash" has appeared.

The diorama has a vertical composition of "shadow" play a role of 3D background, and the tanks are like subject plan. Here models from DML-Flakpanzer 1 with the trailer and Kettenkrad are used. All this heap of dust was cover with a snow. Each detail works on the general idea.

Corect este cu un cuțit ascuțit; foto 9 - presați senile elastice (Tamiya, Italeri, Zvezda) pentru a trasa imitația; foto 10 - înmuiați suprafața cu degetele umede; foto 11 - vopsiți baza cu vopsea acrilică; foto 12 - pentru pași folosiți figurină DML Gen2 (care are un frumos relief al cizmelor); foto 13 - încleiați suprafața și acoperiți-o cu pudră.
